Our Mission
We are a non-local community network, not based in a single location, that uses egalitarian circle practice to co-organize gatherings, projects, and activities in alignment with our shared values. Our circles host shared meals, nature-based experiences, service projects, creative workshops, youth and family programs, opportunities for personal and spiritual growth, and more. We come together in local parks, public areas, and private spaces offered by members and partners who share our vision.

Pathways was created to bring the sense of community back to our modern way of living by providing a living village that supports members' overall holistic wellbeing. It is designed to be the container for belonging, purpose, support, and connection.

Our long-term aim is to establish community centers and micro-villages: physical homes for our gatherings and collective projects, while continuing to model the living village wherever we are.
Pathways Model
Creating Pathways operates under the nonprofit umbrella of Inner Wisdom Education (IWE), a 501(c)(3) organization. Pathways was created to provide a living structure for communities to self-organize according to shared values, allowing each person to bring their gifts and wisdom to the whole.

Our model is not top-down. It is member-led and circle-based, grounded in egalitarian principles and participatory decision-making. Every member plays an active role in shaping the village through collaboration, service, and dialogue. There are no “leaders” and “followers” here, only co-creators and stewards.

Evolving the Village
Members are always welcome to bring forward new ideas for community agreements, values, vision updates. In addition, new circles may form whenever members feel called to collaborate around a shared purpose or project that serves the Village, and unused circles may dissolve naturally when their purpose feels complete.

Proposals and ideas are shared and refined through our consensus-based circle practice, either within smaller circles or through the All-Village Circle for community-wide decisions. We make decisions by listening deeply, seeking understanding, and aligning with what feels true for the whole, trusting that our collective wisdom will guide the way. In this way, Pathways remains alive, a community that learns, adapts, and evolves together.
