The Youth Village

The Youth Village is a reflection of our greater community. It's a space created by and for children and teens to experience what it means to be part of a village. It is a community where young people learn through being, relating, and creating together. Here, children are invited to:

The Role of Parents and Youth Guides

At this time, we operate as a co-op requiring active participation from parents. Parents and adults are co-members of the children’s community. Their role is to nurture, model, and walk alongside our younger members.

Youth may take on roles in planning, mentoring younger members, or representing the Youth Village in the All-Village Circle. Each gathering is an opportunity for them to learn the art of community from the inside out. Their activities are rooted from the same values that guide the overarching village.

Our community is currently co-creating a "rite of passage" to become a Youth Guide where adults and children alike can receive real-world experience with child relational skills, babysitting, and conscious parenting. This will create trusted roles in the community for care and support.

Parents and Youth Guides help uphold the Youth Village by:

Learning through Relationship

The Youth Village exists not to shape children into something they are not, but to create the conditions for who they already are to unfold naturally. As they engage with peers and adults, children learn how to navigate difference, express needs clearly, set boundaries with compassion, and collaborate toward shared goals. These are not lessons taught, they are lived.

This is more than an organization; it’s a living practice of community.
We are learning to live in right relationship with ourselves, with one another, and with the living Earth.  Whether you come to share a meal, teach a skill, tend the garden, or simply show up with presence and care, your participation is helping shape the world we long to see.
